Showcase Applications Open: Folk Alliance International 2018
The 2018 edition of Folk Alliance International returns to Kansas City from February 14-18. Artists interesting in showcasing at the festival and conference can do so now, but keep in mind that the September 13 deadline is fast approaching!

SOCAN will present a two-day Song House camp, Sept. 13-14, during the 15th annual BreakOut West conference and festival, scheduled for Sept. 13-17, 2017, in Edmonton, with the conference component held at the Sutton Place Hotel.

Canadian Music Café 2017 Lineup Announced
The Canadian Music Café, presented by the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA) and the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA), today announced an impressive lineup of artists who will take the stage in its 9th annual showcase. This year, the Café has partnered with the City of Toronto’s xoTO Filmmakers Lounge to create deeper connections between the city’s music and film sectors. The Café will take place September 11-12 at the xoTO Filmmakers Lounge (270 King Street West @ Duncan) during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Music Export Canada Presents: Canadian Blast at Reeperbahn 2017
CIMA returns to Hamburg and Berlin, Germany this September for the 2017 edition of the Reeperbahn Festival! We’re excited to finally reveal the companies and artists who will be joining us on this mission as Canada is featured as the focus country this year. This year CIMA will use the opportunity presented by Canada’s 150th Anniversary to shine a light on Canadian talent and attract a wider audience to Canadian events.

Second Round of BreakOut West Speakers Announced
The second wave of speakers for the 2017 edition of the BreakOut West conference has been announced. The announcement includes the director of a festival management company in the UK, a publicist for aggressive music, the owner of a German label and agency, the founder of an LA based music supervision company, and many more.
